Description

The Basler Läckerli is a traditional hard spice biscuit originating from Basel, Switzerland. It is made of honey, almonds, candied peel, and Kirsch. "Lecker" means "delicious" in German. The name "Laeckerli" emerged around 1720, however the popular biscuit was offered already much earlier in "Bürgerhäusern" during Advent time. Basler Läckerli were originally created by local spice merchants over 700 years ago and are available year-round. This cookie keeps well for weeks.

    Slightly chewy - not too hard, not too soft, and with the "proper" taste of a Basler Läckerli.

    Authentic Swiss Basler Läckerli from Switzerland. Comes in pretty packaging and is so delicious and always fresh.

    Tastes just like my childhood spent in Basel. They're such a super local specialty that I'm glad that it's available in the US. They were terrific and I'll happily order more in the future.

    Delicious as always. I have been eating and buying the product for over 60 years. Never changed the taste is always the same excellent go ahead buy and try it you won’t be disappointed

    I first had Basler Lackerli when I was on a business trip in Basel. I fell in love with them. It has been years since I tasted them, so when I saw you offered Lackerli, I was so excited. It is just as I remembered!

    I was introduced to these cookies while visiting a friend in Switzerland. They are absolutely delicious and go great with a cup of coffee while sitting at a cafe. Every time I go back to visit Switzerland, I have to stock up. I'm so happy to have found this website because now I can buy on line and enjoy at home.
