Description

Ragusa chocolates convince with a creamy praline filling and whole hazelnuts surrounded by finest Swiss chocolate. The secret delight for any connoisseur.

Fun Fact: There is a town in Sicily called Ragusa, but the name for the famous Swiss chocolate comes from the town of Dubvronik in Croatia, that in former times was called Ragusa.  Invented was the chocolate bar exactly 70 years ago in 1942 by Mr Camille Bloch, who created the recipe in time of need.  As cocoa was difficult to obtain during World War II, Camille Bloch decided to fill the fine chocolate shell with a paste of ground hazelnuts to which he also added whole nuts. This led to the sweet temptation that you will now find at each Swiss kiosk and in our store.

    I adore Ragusa since forever. It is really one of my favorite branche au chocolat. So smooth, melt in your mouth and the hazelnuts are the perfect addition.

    I can still eat the hazelnuts

    This elderly lady was waiting at the bus stop and when the bus came she got the walker and wobbled towards the bus. The Bus driver was feeling good, he got up and helped the lady on the bus and to a seat. Three stops later she got of and again he helped her out. She was so thankful and gave him a handful of hazelnuts. As he drove of he thought to himself those are the best hazelnuts I have ever had. this went on for about a week when the bus driver asked the lady "Ma'am you give me nuts every day I help you on and those are the best Hazelnuts I have ever had in my life, where do you get them from?" the lady replied 'Well young man you see I really love Ragusa, but in my age I just can't eat those nuts anymore"

    I loved it as a child and to be able to get it again is like heaven on earth. My whole family is crazy about it. The first thing my grandchildren ask is“ do you have any Ragusa“ Thank you for bringing a little switzerland to us. What a treat!

    Swiss chocolate that you can’t find anywhere else. The bars haven’t changed since decades and bring back childhood memories. Sometimes SwissFavorites add the little Ragusas to the shipment.

    A true taste of home

    Ragusa arrived in good condition and every bit as delicious as it is at home in Switzerland. It is great to be able to get Swiss treats without having to order them from overseas or having to wait on trips home to get them. Awesome find I would highly recommend!
