I give this a 3.2 stars rating. When I was a boy, I had had this chocolate in the actual Cailler factory near Lake Geneva and it was incomparably the best chocolate I had ever had in my life. Melted in your mouth with the absolute perfect silky smooth texture. Sweet. I would’ve given it a 7 stars out of 5 at that time. 20 years later, I try the same milk chocolate bar, the cremant (dark chocolate), and chocmel, and it just doesn’t taste the same as it used to. It doesn’t have the same texture or taste. I guess 20 years is a long time and a lot can change in that time span. Maybe the beans they use are different. Maybe the milk they use is different. I’m not sure. But how it used to be was divine. Now, it’s merely just good.
I always order Cailler chocolate bars from here, as it's the only place in the US that I can purchase them. They provide great service and ship them very quickly. I'll order again next holiday season. Thanks!
