Description

This Bavarian style Leberkaese is fully cooked and is made of pork and beef. It makes an excellent lunch or a quick, easy evening meal. Its mild flavor makes it a great choice for serving to children! To heat in slices: Slice 1/2" to 1" thick piece and fry in pan with butter. Serve the pan-fried Leberkaese with a fried egg on top and potato salad on the side. You can also cut the loaf into thick strips to be put on skewers and grilled.

Ingredients: Pork, Beef, Water, Onions, Salt, Spices, Sugar, Sodium Phosphate, Dextrose, Sodium Erythorbate, Garlic, Paprika, Sodium Nitrite

This item can be frozen for up to 2 months without affecting its flavor or quality. If frozen, defrost slowly in refrigerator for 2 days before using; do not thaw at room temperature.

    I gave it 4 stars because I am not supposed to eat pork. I don't know what I was thinking and I should have asked before purchasing it. It did not go to waste though, I gave it to a neighbor who really enjoyed it. It looked so delicious in the photo, I thought that I would try it again after many, many years of not having it. I used to eat as a child growing up in the south, but now I cannot eat one of the ingredients. If it tastes as good as in my childhood, then it deserves 5 stars.
