Best Swiss Bratwurst

These are the best Swiss sausages available in the US. While produced in NY they come very close to the originals I know from Switzerland. I always serve them with Thomy mustard. While this isn't really done in Switzerland, I serve them with Raclette. My American friends love that combination. A word of caution: often Americans know Weisswurst from Germany. This is not a German Weisswurst. This is a St. Galler Bratwurst and is so far apart from a Weisswurst as the languages spoke in these countries.

Olma Bratwurst-not

It is a bratwurst, but not at all an Olma St.Galler Bratwurst. It has way to much onion. I was disappointed. Will not buy it again. People who do not know the original, it is fine. But if you expect a St.Galler Olma Bratwurst, it is quite disappointing.

This Olma Bratwurst is easily the best for me,, but not generally available at the store. Buy online. It's not the spiciest brat by far; it's actually soft in texture and delicate in flavor, owing most likely to having a significant veal content. I grill it and put little cuts in the skin which open nicely. Served like a hotdog, they'll be overtaken by condiments. Use these sparingly to enjoy their delicate flavor.

The sausages were beautifully packaged with cool bags and we immediately put them into the freezer for a few days. We put them on the grill and they started to produce foam. Should we have cooked the sausages first? Anyway, the taste was really bad, almost inedible. I'm from SG and know how the original tastes ...... Maybe something went wrong during transportation and the product was spoiled? Or what did we wrong? We had been looking forward to enjoying these sausages and were really disappointed. However this is a wonderful thing this “Swiss Favorites” online store! I wish I could leave a better review!
