    unbeatable

Published by grateful on 15th Jun 2015

grateful that it is available in the USA. I cannot compare to the real Olma as my last trip to St Gallen happened more than 50 years ago...my only question is about the envelope that I did not eat... what is it ? ---------------------------------------------- SwissFavorties says: this is a natural casing, an animal product, used for suasages all over the world. It is edible. If you grill the sausage, it is supposed to char and explode, which makes the sausage very tasty.

    Room for improvement

Published by Rudolf Eggenberger on 11th Jun 2015

The bratwurst is too soft, not firm enough. It seems to contain too much liquid. Of course, being from St. Gallen I'm somewhat spoiled because I truly had the words best. But I'm sure this product CAN be improved. The texture as others have noticed is important. --------------------------------------------- SwissFavorites say agreed in this case. As this is a handmade product it varies. Some have firmer and some lesser firm texture. We strive for perfection and hope on average we still beat the competiton.

    not quite like the original

Published by Alex Wuthrich on 19th Jan 2015

being originally from st. gallen, I know the OLMA bratwurst there. this one is quite good, but not too close to the original. the texture is the problem. they are not bad at all but they needed a bit more seasoning. -------------------------------------------------------------- Comment from SwissFavorites: we agree it would narrow the gap to the original if they were a tad firmer. As this is a manually produced sausage, however, there will always be differences between the individual batches. We thank for the honest feedback.

While they are very big they are a bit too spicy for my taste, but still very good

Es geht nichts über eine original schweizer Bratwurst. Die "OLMA" ist die Grösste und Beste
