Description
Blumenkäse, a floral delight. Coated with more than twelve different herbs and flowers, Blumenkäse offers an eye-catching display with a mild and subtly tart taste.
In the Rhine valley in St. Gallen Blumenkäse is crafted using milk sourced exclusively from farms in the region practicing animal friendly husbandry – a prerequisite for high quality cheese.
Blumenkäse in German literally means “cheese made with flowers”, which appropriately describes the beautiful rind covered with dried yellow, blue, and red blossoms of marigolds, cornflowers, and roses. The rind also includes the fragrance of twelve different herbs, including winter savory, mint, chives and juniper berries. Matured for six months, Blumenkäse develops a mild, subtly tart aroma and becomes a beautiful addition to any cheese plate.
