Description

The Wurzelbrot Dark is a hearty crusty bread made with dark wheat flour. The Swiss Bakerys most popular bread! A nod to the bread’s twisted shape, Wurzel means “root” in German. Pair it with your Fondue- and Raclette dinner but also sliced on your cheese and charcuterie board!

All of our breads are made to order, and since our bakers work in the early morning hours, there will be a lead time.

    This bread is amazing. Dark flour, Good crust, tastes excellent . You can freeze it and reheat. All day a very good breakfast. Order it 2 times a year when we spend the snow bird part in FL. Thx Swissfavorites for the good products and excellent service.

    As a Swiss guy I like this bread. We stay 2 times a year in FL and we can not find a similar good product. I enjoy the breakfast an wecare happy with it! Thx SwissFavorites.

    This is the best bread, it's tasty, a little chewy, and has a nice crust. The smell is wonderful too when I take it out of the oven after re-heating it. I bought this bread many times and it's always super delicious.

    wonderful bread - just like when living in Germany many years ago - feels like yesterday when warming up. Freezes exceptionally well.

    Tastefully bread, dark flour with an excellent crust. As Swiss Familiy in FL you will never find such a good bread.

    Another winning bread from the Swiss Bakery. This is a substantial bread with a crust that really crisps up when you follow the baking instructions. We love using it for fondue, too. The rustic bread is also wonderful. (If you are from Bern, the bread is quite similar to that of the Ängelibeck. Delicious.)

    Twister bread to die for

    This dark, crunchy-crust twister bread tastes absolutely fantastic. It is hard to stop eating piece after piece... Enjoy it with cheese, cold cuts (ham, salami, prosciutto) and a glass of wine, or with butter and honey or fruit jam and a cup of coffee. Makes any bread-deprived Swiss feel right at home!

    We are from Switzerland and stay 2 times a year in FL. In our area you will not find such excellent bread. Absolutely great it feels like home. Especially the darker flour is perfect, I love dark bread. Thx Swiss Bakery / favorites.
