St. Galler brot is a traditional Swiss bread loaf that is shaped into a round knot with a torn front. It consists of yeast, salt, water, and white flour. In order to get a shiny crust, the bread is brushed with water immediately after it is taken out of the oven.

    absolutely best if rebaked at 350 degrees for ten minutes crunchy crust moist soft interior great with a bratwurst in one hand slice of st galler in the other

    Taste is fine, other breads taste better

    We are from Switzerland and stay 2 times a year in FL. It was not possible to find a good bread in our area. The St. Galler bread is fine but other ones (see my reviews) taste better (e.g crust, dark flour). But my wife and I are very happy to find such good bread. Thx Swiss Bakery / favorites.
