These Leckerli are absolutely authentic, fresh and just like I remember growing up in Switzerland. I saw some comments complaining about shipping costs: try ordering them from Switzerland! The cost is so high that I was not able to get them until I found Swiss Favorites!!! They are absolutely worth the cost to get a taste from home, especially at Christmas. Thank you!

Love the Lakerli

Each Christmas, growing up in the 1960s, a friend from Basel, Switzerland would always send my family a tin of lakerli. When I grew up, I was unable to find any of these delicious cookies anywhere. Thank goodness for the internet that led me to you. These conveniently priced cookies now bring memories back to all my siblings when they get a package from me each year. Thank you.

Basler Lackerli are a tremendous treat to have on hand for guests. Wonderful slightly tangy spices and licorice flavors. Definitely brightens up any occasion or just the day if you are alone.

Have ordered these before and have thoroughly enjoyed them. My recipe is really close to these. The only problem is the same as what I've read on many other reviews is the very HIGH cost of shipping. We are aware of the high shipping cost and can only state that the shipping prices are fed directly from FEDEX and UPS via an API into our website. These are not our rates. As we say on the website, smaller packages cost dis-proportionally more than larger ones. What we cannot see ourselves doing is increase the product price to a level where we can offer free shipping. We feel this would not be right, despite the fact that it is a widespread practice with online shops. We hope you understand and thank you for your order. Walter
